Project overview
On a site in the Raanstad close to Schipol airport, S333 studied how the economic momentum of the ‘Floriade 2002’ (an international garden show held every ten years in Holland) could be harnessed to generate the next phases of the cultural, residential and commercial development for the wider neighbourhood

But this particular area of the Raanstad – one of the most densely populated in the Netherlands - is increasingly being characterised by a mixing of functions, by a blurring of city and countryside and by a constant increase in mobility.

What type of future park and urbanity could be considered appropriate? And how would it work?

This project speculates on how the orchestrated mixing of functions, environments and occupants could form the basis of a new type of park and city: a FlowingParkCity.
